Review on Compact and Convenient: Vantec 4-Port USB 3.0 Bus-Powered Travel Hub (UGT-MH400U3),Black by Gaurav Ansong

I have had this product for two years now and am looking for a replacement. It seems to have a habit of disconnecting (if that's the right term) with devices attached to it. I have 3 out of 4 ports constantly occupied by different USB external hard drives. The hub seems to randomly decide not to show one or more mapped drives when I transfer files in Windows Explorer. When this first happened I thought maybe it was just a problem with the WD MyBook (USB 3.0) drive. I've updated the firmware on this particular drive and it's much better, but the hub also resets the Seagate GoFlex (USB 3.0) drive and Toshiba (USB 2.0) drives that I've plugged in quite a bit. Make sure the hub is connected to the USB 3.0 port on my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, is powered on and the hub is visible in Device Manager. When I add drives, they are recognized, but sometime in the future they will disappear.
