These are decent if expensive mounts and the only ones I could find that can mount my lights the way I wanted them. However, initially I thought they were well designed, but they have one serious flaw. Any force that puts pressure on the mount to rotate will damage that very small area that contacts the threads of the screw and this will cause the mount to wobble and rotate and also makes it IMPOSSIBLE to put it in the same position as previously tighten the lamp purely. . .I tried using a clamp to squeeze the sides of the mount together to keep the lamp mount from rotating and it took a lot of effort and didn't quite work. This means that a small head hex bolt will not do either and you will end up stripping the bolt head with your tool and/or damaging the shackle. You can rotate the mount 180 degrees and reuse it if your lights need to be positioned a certain way, and that should work as long as it doesn't break again. Let's see how it holds up over time.
