Cable protector adhesion problems
I have two, the first had adhesion problems after 6 months and the other after 1.5 years. They were affixed to painted surfaces and thoroughly cleaned before applying the covers. I found some super sticky double sided foam tape in the aftermarket to redesign them and hopefully everything has been fine ever since. Either way, you can use it to "lock" items that don't have a security slot, so that's a plus. However, based on your experience with sticky pads, consider it anti-theft and probably won't even last a few minutes with a screwdriver.
