Stay away from this product unless you have other options

Phone I decided to buy this product from Monroe's Revain. Upon arrival I inspected the damper and found the following: 1. There are black paint spots on the exposed piston rod that were used to paint the damper body. These spots cause both gas and liquid to leak into the rack. (Monroe suggests removing stains with acetone)2. The rubber-steel bushing in the shock absorber is offset in the loop. On one side the metal center of the bushing is open and on the other side the metal center is recessed about 1/8 inch in relation to the rubber part of the bushing. I've always bought OEM parts for my Japanese and European cars and I've never seen a rack as defective as this one. After installing Monroe rear shocks and front struts on my Volvo V-70, my car now drives like a truck. You feel every little bump in the road. To Monroe's credit, pothole handling is superb. Will try to get them back under the Monroe Ride guarantee. Update July 12, 2011: Replaced those Monroe shocks with OEM Sachs. I finally have the excellent Volvo Ride back. These Monroe shock absorbers were expensive to buy, disappointing.
