I had to shorten the shortest bolts sent with the handle - package included 3 sets of differing lengths,, very thoughtful - to accommodate a 1"-thick aluminum frame. The two screws holding the wood handle onto the metal frame aren't filling me with confidence, but she's able to go in and out of her door again - so far, so good.
