It was exactly what I was looking for. An older family member lives with us, but this person's bedroom is on the first floor and we sleep on the second. This allows us to check in at night without getting out of bed. There were no issues with setup - we had to change the location of the camera due to the distance from the WiFi router, but by lifting it slightly we improved the WiFi connection. It's been 5 days since installation and there were no problems connecting to wifi. No problem browsing Android/iPhone, iPad, Laptop and Kindle Fire with a web browser (It would be nice to have a Kindle Fire app as it is more user-friendly than the web browser version). No problem with the app or webview. We're not interested in the recording as we only use it for surveillance purposes, so I can't speak of any issues with the recording. Image quality is excellent in all modes, especially when switching from standard to night vision. We were using the speaker and microphone to speak to a family member when we noticed they were doing something unsafe or needed some prompting to complete the task (the person has dementia). Apart from a small delay, there are no problems with the communication. This device gives me and my spouse significant peace of mind as we can check on our family member at any time. Great product at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this if you need a system to monitor your family or pets for security reasons.
