Love this tape and use it almost every day. It's durable and great for making moving boxes, but it can be used for a lot of things. I'm an artist who uses ribbon for a lot of things and that's what attracts me the most. I use it to refer to things, sharper writes great on this volume; I use it to construct things out of cardboard, I use it on paper when I need interesting textures and colors. I like this best for labels because the marker sticks so well to the back of the paper. The surface is slightly glossier than paper, but not as glossy as, for example, traditional plastic packaging tape. The tape sticks strong and will hold, but it can be pulled off the cardboard without tearing too hard if you know what you're doing and do it slowly so that it re-sticks to some extent. I also like that while it's very strong, it's still very thin and easily cut with any sharp instrument, even a letter opener because it's essentially paper. It easily tears off by hand and easily begins to remove the roll. An absolute necessity in my household.
