Instructions didn’t say to not tighten leg screws until after you add foot rests! I was pretty frustrated by the time I figured out why the foot rests would not fit and had to go back and loosen screws with the cheapie Allen wrench that kept slipping out of my hand. You will also need a mallet to make sure the little wooden finishing pegs stay in the holes.Luckily once I finally got both stools assembled I was very pleased with the results. They are the perfect height for my kitchen peninsula, sturdy and look good. I bought used so got a great price for a set of 2
