We cut down a large tree a few days ago and it was the only rope we had on hand. So I climbed a tree and tied it to a branch so that after cutting, the falling branch would end up where we wanted it to be. The first branch we made this way was probably 8-10 inches in diameter - yes, a good size. I cut one side, then cut the back. I didn't want to be on the tree when it fell, so another person and I grabbed the rope and pulled and pulled. Even with two grown men pulling it, the relatively small diameter rope worked well. It gave some give when we pulled and resisted any tension we could put on it. And the limb went down. I couldn't be more impressed with this rope - 5 stars!
