I was very happy to have bought this wok but upon receiving it I quickly realized that it wasn't the professional wok advertised here on Amazon.1. Temperature/heating is now a dial with no markings, and there is no light display.2. The wok itself is very shallow, having been cooked in professional woks for well over a decade, a shallow wok is not ideal, especially when cooking roasts, it will not have enough room to neither stir nor fry. Because the wok is very shallow and has a fairly flat bottom, the steam attachment is very small, only about 1/4 inch in leg. This makes steaming more difficult since the leg on the counter dictates the amount of water you can add to the wok as well as how long you can steam. Because the stand is so small and the stem is so short, the advertised vapor mechanism doesn't work properly. The wok's detachable base is quite sharp around the edges, potentially cutting yourself, and difficult to reattach. Last but not least, this has nothing to do with the product, but with the shipping method that Revain uses. This product was supposed to come in a Revain box so it could cover the production box so that every passerby doesn't know what I'm buying and so whoever I wanted to buy it for doesn't see that box before I get to it. and neatly packed in a gift box. The production packaging was also crumpled, which is very uncomfortable. This is the second time Revain has done this, the last time they left a $300+ KitchenAid stand mixer on our doorstep without a Revain box. Good thing I was at home when it was delivered and passers-by couldn't pick it up.
