Unpacked and worked perfectly for 10 minutes. Then it stopped and wouldn't turn on again, even though the power indicator was on. After that it sometimes worked, sometimes not. Honeywell generally has good products and great customer support, so I agreed to a replacement that didn't arrive until two days later. Similar problems. We wondered if turning our carpet over might trigger the safety button, but we had the same experience with tile and laminate. We turn it on, the red light is on, turn on the fan or the receiver - nothing happens. Try again later, change socket, sometimes it works / sometimes it doesn't. I won't be dissing Honeywell, but this particular model (HHF550B) seems like a lemon.
