We bought these building blocks for our sons last Christmas. These boys (aged 3 and 4 at the time) spent most of the Christmas season building towers and cities for their cars out of matchboxes. They continued to use them regularly, at least 1-2 times a week, for the past seven months. These blocks are strong and well made, made in the USA (which was very important to us when choosing quality blocks). We had no chips or cracks and each block is carefully sanded so there are no rough edges. The quality of these blocks justifies their price. UPDATE: We've had these blocks for over four years now and they still hold up to regular use. The boys (now 10 and 8 years old) and their sister (6 years old) still use them for building. No cracks, chips or rough edges, this is one of the best toy investments we've made.
