Review on Coated C-Dough Hook for KitchenAid Mixer - K5ADH by Rashid Vaquera

Positive and negative, fits our KitchenAid mixer K4SSWH

This product arrived quickly and undamaged. One of the great things about this product is that it actually fits my wife and the KitchenAid K4SSWH blender. We have been looking for a dough hook suitable for this model for many years and our search has finally come to an end. Now the question is, was it worth the wait? That being said, we have a love-hate relationship with this product. We originally bought this hook to drastically reduce kneading time in our weekly recipes, but we quickly found that it saves a few minutes at most when you're prepping and cleaning up more dishes. The problem is that it starts to knead well initially, but quickly pushes the dough up and even jams our mixer (kind of). We tried different methods, such as B. adding more wet material (water, etc.) and changing the mixing speed, but they fail when they change the quality of the end product. It's important to note that it's always (before trying various things as mentioned before) set to the slowest or medium speed when in effect. The dough suddenly decides to climb onto the hook and jam the mixer. This is quite concerning as there will still be wet material in the bowl that has not been fully mixed (even if the mixer is occasionally stopped to clear excess material from the mixing sides). Hooked while the improperly kneaded dough encased the bottom and edges. At first we thought our bread recipe (original attempt) was too thick for the machine, but then we had the same problem with our New York pizza dough and dough for a bagel. These recipes are identical to the recipes I've made my entire life using my mom's old blender (I forgot the brand, but it's over 30 years old and still works great). and a blender combo, or maybe our blender is just defective (although it works fine with lighter batters like cakes, cookies, etc.). Just looking at the dough when using this hook we only have about 1-2 minutes of usage before resorting to hand kneading to save the mixer motor and the finished baked product. So while this hook can work wonders with other recipes, it just doesn't work with our family's recipes, which in some cases have been passed down for generations. Again, this hook can do wonders for you and your recipes, so for the price, it might be worth getting. It also fits our K4SSWH KitchenAid Mixer (lifting bowl). Therefore, there is a chance that our recipes will be too thick for the blender itself and therefore unusable for our needs and applications will not do the desired job with them. In addition, in our opinion, its insufficient performance does not contribute to the creation of more dishes (mixer bowl and hook) and cleaning. After all, our hands are still the best tool for the job and we doubt the crochet hook will be used again any time soon. We hope this review helps.
