Very easy to install, I'm a woman and I did it myself. I used a ladder to support the lift gate. All you need is a flat head screwdriver and within a minute I was amazed at how easy they were to install. However, they are so powerful that the back door did not close. I read from another reviewer who said he had the same problem so he only used one so I did and left the original on one side, voila! Now I have a spare. So yes, it works great.
