Plastic bristles too hard

The plastic bristles are too hard. I found blood on the bristles and area around them more than once. Even though my cats like to rub their faces and bodies on the corners of our walls, they are not doing it on this product, which I tend to think is because they tried it and it caused them pain. I’ll order a product with actual brush bristles, not plastic.
