Decent performance in streaming media players

Who is selling this box, how much is the X88 Pro10 model, I think the iron is the same. So I don't think people should necessarily consider the difference in "vendor" name when reading reviews of this model. However, this is a TV box with decent specs. I use the Xfinity 100 Mbps service, which isn't very fast by today's standards, but is fast enough to stream almost any video. I'm actually getting around 118 Mbps using 5G with a Lenovo Tab 8 or Lenovo Flex 14 (Ryzen 5 3500u) even though they're 40 feet from my Netgear WiFi router. But this set-top box only works at 15-20 Mbps at the same distance (30-40 feet). So I just put a TV box next to a WiFi router, but the box only works at about 40Mbps. If you can get 40Mbps, you won't see any buffering most of the time, but I don't think that many people use a set top box alongside a wireless router. Thus, the actual WiFi speed of this device is between 15 and 25 Mbit/s. As the internet speed varies, e.g. B. if neighbors use the same ISP, 15-25Mbps is a bit slow, and I sometimes see annoying HD-only buffering (not 4K) at speed. I think the maker of this set-top box simply used a cheap Wi-Fi chip to keep costs down. And I think almost all Chinese TV boxes use the same slow Wi-Fi chip. So watch out for WiFi speed limits. But there is a solution to this problem. Buy a WiFi extender with a LAN port (usually a 10/100Mbps port) and use a LAN cable to connect the extender to the TV box. Then I can get about 100Mbps in my case. Please note that the speed is even slower when using 2.4G and I think the box is getting to a point where it's almost useless. I firmly believe that the image "Our TV box compared to other TV boxes labeled 2.4G/5G" is a misstatement. The Wi-Fi chip of this set-top box is not capable of supporting 85Mbps as indicated in the picture, even if the set-top box is close to a Wi-Fi router, using 5G or 2.4G. Unlike other browsers, the set-top box isn't really fast. It's not slow, but it's not fast either. The RK3318 processor is much slower than the 4+ year old Snapdragon 625 (I'm not talking about the relatively newer 665, I'm talking about the 625). So don't expect it to perform like your moderately fast Android smartphone. The included remote control is difficult to use. Mouse mode is very slow and frustrating. You definitely need a wireless mini keyboard. So considering you're buying this TV box + Wi-Fi extender + mini keyboard, you're probably looking at $125 or more + sales tax, if applicable. I use a VPN when watching foreign TV programs when streaming from other countries is restricted. However, the user interface of this TV box does not have a notification area at the top of the Android home screen. Once the VPN app is activated I have no idea if the VPN is actually running in the background until I see the TV app is actually streaming. deal with it, but when the price of this TV box is over $50, it's a really expensive purchase for older hardware configurations. And again, you will most likely have to spend more to conveniently use this box.
