The title says it all. I bought 2 of these without needing speed. I just needed to back up all my files. While USB 1.1, or maybe 2.0 if I pray hard enough, was supposed to last for days with the amount of data it took me to back up, I was prepared that it would run for as long as it took — except that the drive wouldn't let me me. It will be ejected/unmounted DURING the transfer. After a few more of them (sitting at the computer mind you without putting it to sleep) I got them both back asap. A lot but "too good to be true" and "you get what you pay for" etc etc. I've bought a few more expensive ones but how much is your data worth in the end?
