Review on 🔧 DETROIT Bearing Assembly for Century LaCrosse: Quality and Performance at its Finest by Nick Whitman

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Both hubs failed miserably after 1 year and 15,000 miles ruining a set of brake pads and tires.

I had these hubs on my 02 Buick Park Avenue for about a year and about 15,000 miles before these two hubs failed within 500 miles of each other. diagnose what I thought was a brake problem (rotor dragging on hard cornering). I found that both front wheels had excessive play and rattled when I shook them. After removing the rotors I found metal filings around both hubs which indicated bearing damage. Bearing failure allowed the wheel and rotor to move, destroying the low-mileage brake pad set and wearing out the outer shoulders of my front tires prematurely. Everything was properly installed and torqued to factory specs with a good quality torque wrench. This is the third part where I failed on the Detroit Axle; You will get nothing more from my business.

Pros
  • hub assemblies
Cons
