A wheel bearing failed after 50 km.

I got these for my 1999 Buick Century a few weeks ago. Both looked good and were well packaged. I didn't have time to install both at the same time so I installed the driver's side first, drove for a week with no problems and installed the passenger side bearing yesterday. Drove to work last night with no problems, this morning on the way home the ABS light came on and the passenger side bearing started making noise (this was less than 50 miles). Still, I don't think the driver's side will last

Pros
  • wheel
Cons
  • weak

I had these hubs on my 02 Buick Park Avenue for about a year and about 15,000 miles before these two hubs failed within 500 miles of each other. diagnose what I thought was a brake problem (rotor dragging on hard cornering). I found that both front wheels had excessive play and rattled when I shook them. After removing the rotors I found metal filings around both hubs which indicated bearing damage. Bearing failure allowed the wheel and rotor to move, destroying the low-mileage brake pad setโ€ฆ

Pros
  • hub assemblies
Cons
  • I don't remember

You can get the best parts at the junkyard.

An ASE certified technician with 35 years of workshop experience installed two sets and both sets started making noise after only a few months. The hub bolts and axle nuts were torqued to specification. It's a Chinese fake garbage! Avoid at all costs! Axis Detroit customer service is the worst I have ever seen. They want you to pay for a new set until you return the old ones. Meanwhile, you can't drive your car because it's too loud or the wheels fall off until you get a new set. Two sets wereโ€ฆ
