Purchased for use on a 12x142 thru-axle cross bike as a pre-race warm-up. Works perfectly. You will need a 6mm hex wrench for the non-drive side and then an 18mm box end wrench for the drive side. Although, to be honest, I believe that for a 20-minute warm-up, one hand pull will suffice, as I do. I bought the medium one which is Shimano standard (1.50mm). Rock Shox (maxle) trucks are coarse (1.75mm pitch) while Syntace uses 1.00mm pitch (fine). So make sure you order the right thread. Other brands also fit into these categories, but you'll have to figure out yours (the only other one I know of is the Ratchet DT Swiss, the 12mm thru-axle has a 1.00mm thread pitch).
