Old school advice was to practice ollies on turf. However, I think this is good advice, especially for very young children (under 8 years old) who are very afraid of falling on asphalt or concrete. But when you ollie on grass, it gives way - as you go up, the board sinks a little into the ground. It's unnatural. This two-part fitness device solves this problem. You practice on concrete and the board just stays there until it hits. I believe these things should fit freely on trucks. Newer trucks are thin so the board rotates around the wheel. My old carts are so thick that the whole machine moves and the fulcrum is the back of the machine, not the wheel. I'll wait until I get a new board to test them again. These things are well thought out — they're made of durable, semi-flexible plastic that looks like an auto part. No toy.
