We mount this luggage rack on the tailgate of a teardrop-shaped mobile home. I wasn't able to use the mounting brackets that came with the posts, but I was able to easily use 5/16" fender washers to make strong brackets both on the sunroof and inside the RV's kitchen. I haven't finished the camper yet but the struts work great on the sunroof and support it very well.
