I bought this for a recent trip of about 1000 miles round trip and it has worked well. Looks sturdy and connects easily. Make sure you have a decent set of metric wrenches and/or adjustable wrenches to apply torque to the bolt when reassembling (takes less than an hour). As another reviewer noted, the splints are sold separately, but I didn't really want them. I paired it with a Highland Rola Cargo Bag, also sold by Revain, which comes with straps that attach to this unit. Although it wasn't mentioned anywhere, I was happy to see that there were multiple sets of holes to attach your number plate (you'll need to provide your own nuts/bolts for this).
