Engine failure a week after installing this mass air flow meter. Knowing the sensor was new, I found that the engine was smoking and running erratically due to a different failure mode. Without the proper diagnostic training and test equipment, I used a swap and nose process and replaced the sensors involved in the trouble codes. After long hours and replacing the $ sensor, the car was diagnosed by a professional workshop, the brand new MAF sensor failed.
