True Story: Bought a blender from Hamilton Beach (via Revain). Great blender, best ever for under $35. The little plastic ring holding the blades to the glass broke. This is a meaningless piece of plastic, the least complicated part of the blender. Even though it's under warranty (6 months), Hamilton Beach charges $5.99 to ship it to me. I wanted an extra one as it's obviously a part that will fail repeatedly. They offered an extra charge of $5.99 + another $5.99 for shipping. That's almost half the cost of the WHOLE BLENDER. For a small plastic ring. Look, I love the blender, but the warranty is bogus and the idea that you're paying double the price for the slow (10 days) shipping of a piece of plastic is just silly. I even offered to buy extra just put it in the same quantity, NO they want double the part price for shipping for each piece. This is the last HB mixer I bought.
