I really didn't want to like this blender. My wife got it after our Cuisinart died (okay I killed it). After all, this is a cheap blender and the lid leaked when whipped. (Found the lid to "snap". Damn it!) From all my snobbish complaints, this is a really good blender. Makes smoothies way better than Cuisinart with significantly less noise.

So far so good! Better than the one I had which broke less than a year ago, I didn't know it had a 2 year guarantee. All is well! I like this one better. It mixes really well. TO UPDATE! I am shocked. After several uses, it no longer mixes. I tried making a smoothie today and didn't bother to "grind" the frozen fruit. Otherwise I'll try again. I have no choice but to return it!

I was concerned because some of the reviews were just awful. I bought them to make smoothies. I don't use frozen fruit (just fresh fruit cut into chunks) and I use small ice cubes rather than the large blocks you typically get from ice cube trays. So far I haven't had any problems with this blender. Mixes everything without lumps and the nose is great. I've also used it a few times and had no problems. Good blender for the price.

I know what you want from this blender considering the price. Don't rush to judge! While this blender isn't one of those fancy multi-hundred dollar blenders that will grind up your keys and silverware, this blender can do amazing things for you at home!
