I replaced my xFi gateway which was terrible. I have unlimited data and a 1Gbps plan and over ethernet I can get 800-900Mbps but Wi-Fi only gives me speeds up to 300Mbps when you are nearby, and about 35Mbps below and 0 signal in many parts of the house. Google Wi-Fi wasn't compatible, so I replaced xFi with it. Ethernet gives me the same speeds, but now I'm getting around 600-800Mbps at the top and around 300Mbps at the bottom in most parts. Although it may go away in some regions and some devices have poor connectivity. It was easy enough to install and work with the Xfinity technology to register the modem on the network and start Wi-Fi right away. But it definitely doesn't cover 5000 SF as advertised. Satellite placement is really important or you will get a crappy signal even if your house is less than 5,000 sf. Most likely, I need another satellite, and the price of this set is already too high. For what we're paying it should have a good signal all the way.
