Type of review

I bought a NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home WiFi 6 system with an integrated DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem (CBK752). It costs $600 and is completely useless. The Wi-Fi signal is lower than my xfinity modem router. That's less than 10 MBS ten feet from the satellite! I called tech support 5 times to try and get help. The first time it was hung up. The other four times they took 15 minutes to check on me, then I waited over 45 minutes and no one answered the phone. What junk. I used to trust Netgear but not…

Works well but not as advertised

I replaced my xFi gateway which was terrible. I have unlimited data and a 1Gbps plan and over ethernet I can get 800-900Mbps but Wi-Fi only gives me speeds up to 300Mbps when you are nearby, and about 35Mbps below and 0 signal in many parts of the house. Google Wi-Fi wasn't compatible, so I replaced xFi with it. Ethernet gives me the same speeds, but now I'm getting around 600-800Mbps at the top and around 300Mbps at the bottom in most parts. Although it may go away in some regions and some…

Excellent cable modem and expandable Wi-Fi solution

Purchased to replace an old cable modem and install Wi-Fi. At first I wanted to get the dual satellite option and just use my old Netgear cable modem, but I think it was the best option for scalability as internet speeds increased. The system was ready to go right out of the box and incredibly easy to set up, configure and connect to the network. I have experience in IT, but even for those who don't work in the network, this system is a breeze. The instructions were incredibly clear and the…

Believe me the hype is good for modems

Let me first say how skeptical I was about the true performance of this cable modem/router + 1 satellite installation. The reviews I read seemed too good to be true. And my townhouse has 3 levels to spread the Wi-Fi magic, a task my Arris surfboard just couldn't handle. The further I got from the router, the more the download speed dropped, preventing my wife from working in the office and making me wonder why we were paying for all that promised speed. I've tried plug-in extenders which have…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

I bought this product because I lost the signal in one part of my house and I also have Wi-Fi 6. After receiving this product and activating it with my ISP, the signal on this modem often drops every 7-8 minutes (yes I checked the log of this modem and it says every time the internet is connected and the internet is down ), but my 2-year-old modem router (Motorola) works fine. Their tech support from India is a joke and they have no idea how to fix the problem. They wanted me to pay for the…

Unfinished Design - Many Errors

So this is AX. Unless everything in your home is already AX, or you don't plan to upgrade everything to AX, it doesn't offer any additional speed, convenience, or security. But I returned this kit due to bugs, defects, inconveniences and security issues. 1. You cannot deactivate the REMOTE CONTROL. Anyone who knows how to pick locks can connect and play with this router. If the attacker fails to enter the password once, the router will politely ask if the attacker wants to reset the password.2.

Say goodbye to NO WiFi!

As my work has shifted to 100% remote work as a result of the pandemic, it's time to upgrade my network. We had a Netgear 2.4 GHz dual band modem router that was released around 2012. Since almost every electronic device now needs some kind of WiFi connection, at least to set it up, and all my work devices need a permanent connection at home, three children and a wife with an active social media presence, we set out on each other's paths. . A kid can start streaming videos while the wife is in…
