Review on MagnaFlow 22636 Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter - Standard Grade, Federal/EPA Compliant by Reggie Higdem

Edit: After speaking to the Magnaflow customer service number (said it was a tech when they replied) they informed me it was a counterfeit product if the cat didn't communicate Magnaflow's name is stamped. Well, there is no Magnaflow stamp anywhere on this product. So, according to Magnaflow itself, this is not a real product. It says here that Magnaflow sells it here. I'm not sure why counterfeit products are being sent, but be careful. ****Original Review The welds on this thing aren't the best. To be honest it looks like the person who brewed it was a bit blind. They didn't clean up either. Weld spatter, whatever, it's now part of the product. I think everything is fine inside. You can see through it, and all the combs were in there. I can't do anything more here. Although the overall quality of the work is pretty poor. These are mainly welds, but also the lack of a heat shield. There is no "Magnaflow" marking anywhere on the device. No one. A few numbers on the pipe but that's all. I really wonder if this is a legal product or not. The box it came in was destroyed. You can see in the picture that one end (the triangular end with 3 screws) is attached to the pipe, it's not loose at all. It also shows that the two-bolt connector is free to move, which is true. It comes with 2 spacers for you to get them. However, there are no other facilities here. No screws, no nuts, nothing else. I'll update this after I install the part if there are any issues. Overall not very happy with the initial quality check though. This is probably the best aftermarket catalytic converter you can buy, but the quality is not what I expect from Magnaflow. Very disappointed with it. I feel like I should have gone with the cat for half the price because that's the product I got.
