Review on πŸ“Έ High-Definition Webcam with Microphone: 1080P USB Webcam for Live Streaming, Wide-Angle Lens, Perfect for Laptop, Desktop, Conferencing, and Video Chatting by Eric Carr

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor design, far from high resolution - a clear case of false advertising.

I took the risk of buying this unknown brand and I deeply regret it. NOT HIGH DEFINITION Overall, this is probably the worst video quality I've seen. Webcams released 15 years ago have the best resolution. In fact, you can get the best webcam quality even for a video conference from your mobile phone. Even in a room with natural light, this resulted in shadows and graininess in the video. It's definitely not high definition. FAILED CONNECTIONS Zoom conference call connected to the webcam, after two attempts the microphone never turned on. She used two additional websites to test the webcam online and she failed to connect each time. POOR MOUNTING SYSTEM The base should fit snugly against the back of the monitor. Or you should be able to use the base as a stand and just flip the camera up so it's facing you. None of them work well. That's why they include a small 3M double-sided tape that isn't described in the manual or the Revain advert. There is no other way to keep this webcam in place. SLOW DELIVERY Also, the delivery took 2 weeks. This is the slowest delivery of any item I've purchased during the COVID-19 crisis. (Slowest delivery of 15 deliveries!) Upon examining the packaging and instructions you will notice that some broken English is used. This is also clearly a generic webcam, rebranded by either the manufacturer or a third party sold in their small office or home (which is more common than most people realize). Lesson learned: Always buy a reputable brand, even if it's a webcam.
