Update: The problem was fixed the day after writing this review. It took several connect/disconnect sessions for the activation page to appear. After the website appeared, there were no problems and the modem started working immediately. I contacted Comcast as recommended and they had boot code for a later version that they wanted to run. It worked. I've increased the speed to 1GB and seen this on PCs with a fixed ethernet cable. Speed around 900Mb/s. But the rest of the network (Google Mesh, 1st Gen) was running just under 600Mbps. So I called Comcast back and reduced my bill a bit and chose the 600Mbps service. This device is a Revain upgrade modem. CM1150V. This applies to the Comcast service with voice service. Follow the prompts and power on the modem for 10 minutes with a full coax and ethernet cable connection to a directly attached laptop. The modem is not communicating with the laptop. Even the command line doesn't ping the IP address on the bottom of the modem. The modem presented an initial web page saying my modem should be activated, click next, but then it would not connect and it would not appear again. Every update said there was no internet. I'm talking to Raven right now. I'll update this if I find a simple solution.
