Review on 🔧 MerCruiser Alpha One, Gen II Stern Drives Quicksilver 803099T1 Transom Seal Repair Kit with Exhaust Bellows by Jerry Delozier

I ordered this kit because my gimbal on my 1996 Baja Islander 180 was bad. I wanted to install a sealed bearing instead of grease. I also wanted an OEM bearing, spacers and bellows. Although this kit was significantly more expensive than the aftermarket kits I know the parts will fit properly including the main water supply hose which is shaped with the correct bends compared to a straight piece of hose. After installing the bearing and starting the engine, I immediately noticed how much quieter the transmission became. I only heard the engine and nothing else. For removal and installation I rented a reverse hammer axle puller from OReilly's Auto. The camp went out with no problems. I put the new bearing in the freezer for a couple of hours and it returned to its place with no problem.
