Forget metalloids - buy them!

I made a serious mistake when I decided to replace all the pads on my Buick with OE (Original Equipment) Delco pads! I bought the car from the original owner who used it for service at a GM dealership so I assumed the excellent pads on the car are the same as they came from the factory. NOT CORRECT. You or your dealer appear to have decided to replace the factory pads with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Delco ceramic pads. Electricity and DUST. But OMG, the original metallics I installed before a 1500 mile climb over the winter not only had slightly less grip and weren't as linear in their pedal response, they spewed out a ton of black dust, which was a lot. stickier on (relatively smooth chrome) wheels. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to clean this stuff from plain cast aluminum! I was blown away by how long and hard it took me to work the Eagle One Tire and Wheel Cleaner to remove about 90% of the metal dust from my front wheels after this ride. I feel the same way now that I'm back at Advantage Ceramics. Braking performance is like buying a car and I get a lot less GRAY dust which I practically wipe off with a paper towel. I spend most of my time removing brown from tires - a quick brush or sponge is enough to get the brake dust off the wheels.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I really don't like anything about it, everything is fine
