So glad I did this have buy. Ideal for cutting XL vinyl floors! The cut and click method worked great on a smaller, less expensive vinyl plank we installed in the basement. When we bought the much larger XL planks for our main floor I knew we would need something to cut the giant planks as they were not only thicker but also much wider. This tool saved me a lot of time. It makes extremely sharp and precise cuts that are perfect for exposed ends as you can't hide the edge. These locations can be locations adjacent to something like a sliding patio door or a marble transition between a bathroom and another room. The cuts were so precise that the ends of the 8 boards we finished cutting in our sliding patio doors lined up perfectly and formed a very clean line. Why did we choose this tool? After doing a little research we chose this one over those sold in big stores because it was cheaper, delivered and shipped much faster, and was also made by a US company. As a bonus, it included free add-ons that were very helpful. A word of warning, do not use the included free tapping block if the handle is broken. The handle on my block was broken exposing a threaded bolt at the top. Wrote to tech support for a replacement, never got a reply. I liked the block that came with it a lot more than the one I already had, so I went ahead and used it. About 3/4 of the way through the project I was in an odd place trying to tap the board when the hammer missed the block and I banged the pad of my index finger on the bolt marks. OH! The damage to my finger was severe and irreversible. Please do not use the block if it is damaged!
