Bought because my daughter was installing all the new laminate flooring in her new home. First we used a saw. What a mess it made. This type of instrument has been discussed. Revain had good reviews so we bought it. What a simple handy tool. We just love it. Cuts perfectly, nothing gets mixed up. If you want to lay laminate, you should definitely have it. What is the difference between saving time and cleaning. You will not regret the purchase.

I don't usually write reviews. I've been laying floors for over 25 years. This is not a commercial model. But it's precise, no mess, cuts easily (even a tight core). I wouldn't buy the cheaper model because it doesn't have a ruler or floor support under the table. If you charge for setup, that's no problem. The fact that you don't have to get up to cut and can easily take it with you saves hours. Used it in a 1000 square foot facility where noise was an issue and it worked flawlessly.

There are many ways to cut vinyl flooring, a utility knife, spiral saw, table saw and rip saw to name a few. For most cuts, this tool is the easiest way to cut and trim. No cutting waste and perfectly flat. Really helped speed up my process. Other tools are required for certain cuts; but it will save you time in the process. If you have a lot of flooring to lay, seriously consider this tool, it worked really well for me.

I'm installing Nucore vinyl plank floors. The flooring pack tries to sell itself so easily, all you need is a sharp razor to cut and snap it like drywall.
