The guillotine capability is impressive and cuts through the 12mm Aqua Seal product used in this first project; when the handle starts to cut it seems to hesitate in cutting and it seems the operation is impossible doesn't work but as soon as the downward pressure stops the product breaks often the cut edge is chipped but the side of the cut has been covered by the bottom bar it just isn't a clean cut AND WILL YOU HITTING WITHOUT DEFAULT!BE CAREFUL!Some models are equipped with a chain to prevent quick return.A hydraulic reverse function would be much safer.THE BEST FEATURE IS NO FINE DUST REGARDING THE SAW MATERIAL!While on the HDL material used in this project, a few chips will fly from the cut, being able to use a guillotine is much more suitable for gera the cuts! The test is to use it for additional work. A 13" blade is impressive, but on narrow stock [6-7"] only half of the blade is used; it would be great if it was double sided to utilize the full length. NO BUYING A KIT WITH MOUNTING ELEMENTS ie rubber mallet, spacer, crowbar, knockout block: they were very cheaply made and didn't add extra cost.
