I really liked the concept of this inflatable stand for my 35 lb kayak. I drive a Prius C so not much room on top but this trunk holds my kayak pretty well. I've read reviews to be careful not to leave it in the car for very long periods of time as it will collect dust which can scratch the paint. The first time I used it was for a 3 day kayak trip with friends. So I washed my car thoroughly before installing this rack. It wasn't very convenient to take it off and on with the kayak every time I moved it and so it ended up scratching the paint on my car which was very disappointing. I've since bought some scraps of felt to put underneath and that seems to help, but I'm a bit surprised the manufacturer didn't think of that first.
