Will NOT play Blu-ray discs to your old TV via RCA cables

I bought this unit on purpose because it was a Blu-ray player with RCA exits is. Everything I've read about it on here suggests this will work with an old TV. I assumed the device would convert the Blu-ray Disc signal to RCA outputs. In fact, the manufacturer even answered a buyer question here in January 2021 stating "Yes, you can connect this Blu-ray DVD player to your TV via RCA cables", which seems to indicate that it actually supports Blu-ray discs PLAY will . via RCA cable. But that's not the case. This Blu-Ray player has RCA outputs and a standard red, white and yellow cable to connect to an old TV without an HDMI port, but you CANNOT play Blu-Ray discs through the RCA output only. Everything else, yes - DVDs and CDs work fine, but when you insert a Blu-Ray disc, a message pops up on the screen asking you to plug in an HDMI cable instead. It's a Blu-Ray player, but if the player doesn't play Blu-Ray discs via RCA cables, why does it have an RCA output at all? In terms of video quality when playing a DVD, it wasn't as good as mine. With an old Panasonic DVD player, the colors weren't as rich and the picture "twitched". The player also vibrates heavily when playing a disc. I thought the remote seemed ok and easy to use but a bit small for most American hands. Another problem is that this player is so light and so small that pressing the stop, play and eject buttons on the device itself or manually inserting a disc moves the whole thing. He's not solid. Very disappointed with this purchase.
