Review on πŸ’¦ Bathroom with Direct Connect Water Capacity Boost by Thomas Chalecki

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good - not a good solution for bad tasting water.

Good! I purchased this item to use under my sink to eliminate the horrible water taste in Tucson, Arizona, which it did not do completely, but within what I find acceptable. The taste and odor of chlorine is not perceived by smell, but the "fishy" taste is still present. Coffee made from this water actually tastes better (I think ground coffee actually absorbs and retains more water?). The flow is almost unchanged compared to this faucet. The hoses are long enough and of good quality. I love long life! OK! I wish it had a quick swap feature when it needs to be replaced. Cleaning under the cabinet takes longer than installation. Poorly! Beware of the carbon coming out of the faucet when you first turn it on, it really makes a mess and is difficult to clean. The manufacturer warns about soot, but as water is removed from the system, it splashes everywhere. I suggest covering the faucet with a rag when you first turn it on to keep it from splashing. OH! Try not to get soot on your hands. I struggled with the star rating and almost gave it a 3 but I don't want to discourage other buyers from rating this product. There are compromises for everything and I think overall I'm happy with this purchase but for the price it could have been better.
