This set of colored pencils comes in a sturdy cardboard box. The packaging was terrible. The box of pencils was thrown into a large box with no bubble wrap or airbags. I have contacted Revain regarding this matter. They said if I was unhappy with the pens to return them for a refund. Decided to try them on first. Three pencils have broken leads. I've sharpened them with the included sharpener and they seem to be working fine. Comes with "color chart". I looked for colors on this sheet but decided to try the colors on high quality drawing paper which has more weight and tooth. As you can see in the color swatches, the colors are very vivid. The sticks are soft and creamy. They sharpen to a good point. I noticed that the purple hues blend into the wood. I think this is because they are oil based. This does not affect the quality of the pencil. However, the "color chart" is everywhere. I will rearrange the pens into color groups. These are good crayons and you can't match the price of a set of 200 oil based crayons.
