Suitable for transmitting HDMI audio to speakers with a standard 3.5mm phone jack. The app should stream from my Fire TV Stick to a 65" monitor (no speakers) and stream audio to my speaker setup. That worked great, now I have a sound that fits my beautiful overall look! I daisy chained this box with a 1x2 HDMI splitter and it works great for my purpose. In hindsight, I might not have needed a 2x1 HDMI splitter since the Wiistar has HDMI in and out, plus audio out. This might be the only box you need to connect a Fire TV stick to a monitor and a Set to join speakers. A: After correcting this review, I went ahead and plugged my Fire TV Stick into the HDMI input and it actually split the signal as requested. The HDMI output went to my monitor and the audio went to my speaker wire. This also solved the problem with HDCP compliance with the non-HDCP FireTV stick and monitor
