Review on 5'x7' Chesapeake Microfiber Coral Shag Area Rug by Brenda Joiner

The carpet arrived today and when unpacking I noticed a pretty strong smell of mold. The color is as shown and although the rug is not as dense as described it is a very soft and beautiful rug. However, I don't know what we're going to do about the mildew smell; it is very strong and i can see that some of the yarn fibers are dirty. I intend to contact customer service tomorrow to find out how to proceed. The nearly 8" x 10" rug is large enough that we would need a professional cleaning, which could approximate the return postage cost. This rug is for my 7 month old daughter's room and is currently unusable. I will update my review after speaking to the support team.
