The reason I bought (and later returned) this accessory antenna/receiver was because the extended signal I was using was weak. The signal itself comes from a repeater that goes through 3 concrete walls; so I usually deal with a power bar. However, another device in the house is showing 4 to 5 bars and is working properly. Assuming my device is older, a newer antenna/receiver will work better. Tried it and there was no slightly better result. I have 1 bar at most. Then handling this thing sticking out the side of my laptop made it prone to bumps and potential cracks. And it was just a plastic cover. Not much for it. Not having experienced any significant results and being more uncomfortable, I gave up hopes on this device. It may work for some, but not for me.
