I didn't have high hopes for this product when I bought it but found it to be a better deal than a soldering iron from the local hardware store and more useful than a 20w POS without Temperature control now in my toolbox. Today we used the iron for the first time and were just amazed at the usefulness of the whole set! Before I knew it I felt like a kid with a new toy and I had pulled 3 items out of my various cars, ripped them apart, soldered them into khaki aux wires and fixed broken connections on chip resistors. Anything I wouldn't do with my old iron for fear of overheating the board or shorting out the microcircuit. I feel like I really do have the right tools for the job and this has completely restored my confidence in this ability. I would absolutely recommend this set to anyone, I think it would also make a great gift for the little crafter in the house. Time will tell quality, this is clearly not a Weller, but even if I threw it away and bought a Weller in a year's time I would still have all the tools to hand.
