Yes you can go and buy 12 pack baby socks to cover your clubs and you'll probably be fine. However, they were designed for golfers. They are well made and allow your racquets to dry without locking in moisture (which neoprene does). I like the color contrast (black/orange/white). If I drop one of them, I (or a teammate) can easily spot them. They're pricey at $55, but that's exactly what I was looking for with no compromises. This keeps my racquets from chipping or scratching while traveling and gives me a smoother set of racquets on the field. You spend a lot of money on your clubs, why not protect that investment?
