Review on MikroTik Routerboard RB2011 UiAS-2HnD-IN with SFP Port and 10 Ethernet Ports by Yagami Iori

Not everything is so bad, but there are disadvantages.

There are many people who write about complicated settings; while I was shopping for it, I was prepared to boost my level of experience in routing; nevertheless, I didn't have to. The configuration is pretty straightforward, or at the very least fundamental: Wi-Fi, a DHCP server with static leases for certain workstations, etc. You should have some familiarity with how the various pieces of network equipment function, but you do not need to have the expertise of a hundredth-level network engineer to accomplish the job. A large number of menu items and settings is the only thing that makes the configuration more complicated, although even this is not a very challenging or troublesome task. It may be set using both the Web-based user interface and the Winbox program (natively only under Windows, but it easily starts and works through wine on Linux and even macos). Iperf3 speed tests performed using an iPhone X connected to Wi-Fi as the client and a computer running macOS 102022 connected to gigabit ethernet as the server produced an average speed of 75 Mbps. Around 980 megabits per second on average may be sent between two computers connected to a gigabit port using iperf (with macOS 102022 and Ubuntu 18.04). . A few months later, without first declaring war, he went into reboot, and he never came out of it; all that was left was a white screen and nothing else. We have brought it in for repair, so we will wait to hear what they have to say.

Pros
  • With the price of a decent home router, you can get a professional-grade piece of iron. Unparalleled adaptability in terms of customisation. It has been receiving OS ates on a consistent basis up until this point; an ate with Amazon over HTTPS arrived only recently, which has caused it to celebrate. A rather straightforward configuration for "the basics." Despite being made of relatively weak iron, it is extremely agile and maintains its pace. Having a large number of Ethernet ports is essential for my needs because. You have a large number of computers that are all connected to one another by cable, and you no longer need to employ switches. In contrast to "home" routers, the metal casing has a very high level of craftsmanship. It has a very chic appearance.
Cons
  • Due to the age of the piece of iron, the Wi-Fi frequency is only 2.4 GHz. Yet, in this case it is the same as someone else, but for me it is not a negative, but rather a positive - 2.4 beats further, I get a confident reception in the yard (private house). At one point, it would not start up until I removed all of the wires, including the power supply; throughout this time, I did not hit or hold the reset button, and it continued to be unresponsive. The YOTA modem could not be used to initiate the process in any way. Even though there is a live interface, there is no routing to any of them.
