I've used this product in a few different locations. It's relatively easy to install. I would highly recommend you use a small felt wrapped squeegee (like what is used on car wraps). It's a little larger than a credit card but has felt around the edge. It really helps to get the air bubbles out of these types of materials.To get the rainbow effect, you definitely need to put this on a window where direct light shines through, ideally at an angle. The textured side of the film should face you as well. If your window doesnt have direct light shining through, it'll still provide privacy, it just won't have the prism/rainbow effect.To install, clean the surface and use a microfiber cloth to remove dust. Then spray the surface with a soap and water mixture or Windex. Peel the clear backing off the film and stick to the window carefully so there aren't any large wrinkles. If you used enough Windex you should be able to slide it around. Use the squeegee to slide over the film to push air bubbles out and to create a good suction against the window. Use the squeegee at an angle for the best result. And that's it! You can also peel this off and reuse it elsewhere.
