So far, so good! Ideal counter for the pool. This is much better than using drops or strips. You do not need a color matched eye to use this gauge. This gauge is quick and easy to calibrate. You can use deionized water or distilled water to mix the calibration buffers. You should also have a small container of distilled or deionized water on hand to rinse the meter after use. If you do not use the meter for a long time, it is recommended that you pour a small amount of distilled or deionized water into the meter lid and put it away. The blood glucose meter worked for about a week. I took a sample to a pool manufacturer and the accuracy of the gauges was spot on with fancy pool shop lab equipment. Time will tell how long the calibration takes, the availability of buffer solutions. I will keep this post up to date. If only I could get my hands on a chlorine meter right now I would be one of the really lucky pool owners.
