Arrived calibrated (although I did recalibrate it just to be sure) and it works great. I love how easy it is to calibrate and I kept the calibration stuff in a jar to reuse for a while. I should probably give myself a few months before I need more. Definitely recommend this one. EDIT: I liked it so much I bought a second one.

I made a mistake calibrating the tester - I used all three solutions so the results were poor. I emailed the seller who provided clearer sizing instructions. I couldn't calibrate it so the seller sent me a replacement for free. The new tester worked correctly upon receipt and after calibration with two solutions as instructed. Excellent customer service!

Achieving the correct PH balance for my new spa was the hardest part of keeping the tub in shape. After a bit of research I came across this meter and so far it has worked like clockwork. What makes this different from the package is the support. Although I had no problems they contacted me twice to make sure I was happy with my purchase and then made sure again a few days later. That's fantastic customer service.

As soon as I opened the box I knew something was wrong. The instructions that came with the tester showed signs of moisture and rust spots. When I took the instructions out of the storage box, I noticed that there were no calibration reagents for the tester. I tried the tester anyway to see if it works. It turned on briefly, printed 7.3 on hard tap water, and immediately turned off. It looks like the tester needs to be calibrated right out of the case, which I can't do as it doesn't contain any

I got this little meter based on reviews. When I used it for the first time, the glass was a bit fogged up and I wanted to send it back. My other gauge dived and I grabbed this one. The window was clean again and it gave me a good reading. Checked it in reference solutions and in solution 7.1 it was over 0.02. Point at 10 and 0.06 max at 4. Now I use it every day. He stayed within reach and was very reliable. Not bad for $20.

Totally inaccurate. The readings varied by up to 1.8 depending on the angle of immersion in my water. When it stabilized, it was drastically different from the tested and real drops. I soaked it in water overnight as instructed hoping it would be an easy cure, but the next morning it was even more sensitive to the angle of insertion. Worked once two weeks ago. Now stuck at 13.5 and not changing. I've tried calibrating it, new batteries, calibrate again and leave the batteries, nothing works. Two weeks ago it was washed and resealed - now it's a paperweight. I'll report back as soon as I know how Risantec lives up to its one-year warranty. So far, so good! Ideal counter for the pool. This is much better than using drops or strips. You do not need a color matched eye to use this gauge. This gauge is quick and easy to calibrate. You can use deionized water or distilled water to mix the calibration buffers. You should also have a small container of distilled or deionized water on hand to rinse the meter after use.
