Review on 🔨 HARDWOOD FLOORING: Enhanced Staples for Conventional Flooring Installation by Brad Schaefer

Just received on Monday (two days ago) and was able to try it out for the first time last night. I won't be able to use it seriously until Friday. My first impressions are positive. The manual, while not very good, is pretty good for a Chinese product. I didn't see much of an effect adjusting the depth, but it's not hard to change the depth with the dial adjustment. 70 psi, the recommended minimum, didn't quite match the 1 inch struts that went through 3/8 thick oak into 3/4 thick plywood, but 90 psi did just fine. Adjusting the floor thickness is easy and requires no instruction (there are two locking knobs and markers so you can install the fence the same way on either side). Removing the post (I didn't have one, just wanted to know the process) is also quite easy. The part that touches the ground seems to have a non-slip soft surface, which is nice. If it was $200-$300 I wouldn't rate it highly, but for $100 it seems like a good stapler. Let's see how I feel after laying a few hundred feet of flooring (I have to do a total of 600 feet and I can add a few hundred more if all goes well). I still like this stapler after about 600ft2 of installation. Floors with it, but it's not as reliable as some reviews suggest. I managed to insert a few staples into the right side of the board when I wasn't concentrating on the stapler's location. Part of the problem was probably that the bottom I stapled was 5/16 thick (thin, so thin), but the safety of the tool also allowed the staples to be used the wrong way. However, I had no jams, including a main product that clearly hit the mark. I think it's definitely worth the money, and I also find that despite the change in fence design, it's a lot of work to staple this flimsy floor flawlessly. I used a set of nails to push the protruding brackets deep below the surface and put some putty in the resulting hole. Overall, the stapler has done its job.
